Choice of Kimono, Dressing, and Hair Set(Time required: About 60 minutes)
Please choose your favorite kimono at HANAKOMICHI in front of Matsumoto Castle. We will also help you coordinate your kimono according to the season or your preference. Dressed in a traditional Japanese costume and having your hair set by our stylists, you will be able to feel a sense of Japanese propriety through the kimono. Now, your nostalgic experience begins.

Rickshaw Tour Around Matsumoto Castle and the Castle Town(Time required: About 50 minutes)
A rickshaw will pick you up at “HANAKOMICHI.” Enjoy the atmosphere of the castle town while listening to the history of Matsumoto Castle and the town from the rickshaw driver. Along the way, the driver will also tell you about recommended shops and information that you may not find in guidebooks, according to your interests. At the end of the tour, we will take you to “KIKUOKAMATSUNO,” a shamisen shop in Nakamachi. The rickshaw provides a view from a higher vantage point than usual. It is sure to be an elegant moment.

Learn Shamisen from a Shamisen Player and Enjoy a Live Performance(Time required: About 60 minutes)
At the end of your experience, enjoy the experience of playing the shamisen under the guidance of a shamisen player and a live performance just for you. The sound of the shamisen you hear live is truly the sound of Japanese tradition. Feel the unique aesthetic sense and sensitivity of the Japanese through the shamisen, which has long been loved in Japan. The sound of the shamisen resounding in Matsumoto, a town where tradition and nature are blended, will surely become an unforgettable memory of your trip.

You can freely stroll around the shops on Nakamachi Street and Nawate Street that you were interested in during the rickshaw tour, and please be sure to return your kimono to “HANAKOMICHI” by 5:00 p.m.

Learn Shamisen with Video
You can easily experience playing the shamisen by watching a lecture video that carefully explains how to play the shamisen from scratch. Even those who have never played the shamisen and children can enjoy the shamisen. Feel free to try this traditional Japanese instrument. The sound of the shamisen varies from person to person.
